Chris Doran, Waves at Dawn (SEASCAPE 2025)

Heading up towards a lighthouse atop a steep hill in Byron Bay, I spotted this view down to a vast beach. It felt impossible to capture the actual scale of the crashing waves until, just as the sun started rising, a person walked along the water. The waves can look like small ripples until you spot the tiny figure of the beachwalker.
