Feng Lu, The Surging Waves (SEASCAPE 2025)

The photo was taken at Maroubra Coastline on a clear, sunny morning. I noticed a fisherman standing on the coastal rocks, casting his line into the ocean. Beautiful waves surged and rolled around his feet, creating a mesmerizing contrast between the dynamic water and the stillness of the fisherman. To capture the moment, I used an ND filter and a slow shutter speed, allowing the motion of the waves to blur softly as they washed over the rocks. The combination of the surging waves, the serene fisherman, and the rugged coastline made the scene truly captivating.
