Michael Mclean, The Quiet (LANDSCAPE 2025)

This was taken during sunrise on a cold morning at Aire River in the Otways, Vic. The cold morning gave rise to beautiful mist rising off the river and the scattered morning cloud caught the rising light in a spray of orange and purple. The sprinkle of green and orange in the jetty and grasses contrast nicely with the pastel pinks and purples of the water and sky. What I love most about this image and this moment, is the peace it makes me feel. Spending time in this place makes me feel calm.
