Prashanth Naidoo , The Bucket Shot (LANDSCAPE 2023)

This drone photograph was taken in the West Coast of Tasmania and has been my bucket shot for a long time. I visited the exact same spot in 2019 without my drone. After that trip, I could only think about travelling back to this incredible spot, it became my bucket shot. Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic restricted travel for 2 years, during which I spent many a night thinking about this photograph. As soon as travel was permitted, I booked my trip to the West Coast of Tasmania. I spent two nights in the neighbouring mining town with the sole purpose of shooting my bucket shot. Unfortunately the weather Gods were unkind as rain poured for both days. Alas, just when I thought I'd missed out again, the rain paused for just long enough for me to capture this photo, my bucket shot.
