Peter Ogden, SUNRISE WAVE (SEASCAPE 2025)

The early bird gets the worm. And wet pants. I am usually a just-rock-up-and-start-snapping-away kinda shooter. But I had been thinking about capturing the sunrise through a big wave at North Curl Curl headland for some time. The location is perfect for sunrise and renowned for big waves. So when I awoke at 5am one Saturday past, there were no excuses. When I arrived, there wasn’t a dry spot to sit and wait for that perfect wave. So, I just plonked down in a puddle. It wasn’t long, fortunately, and I was on my way the second after I grabbed this image. When you know, you know ;)
