Nick Nairn-Smith, Spiral (SEASCAPE 2024)

This image was captured at dawn during a lonely swim off the back of a granite island on the east coast of Tasmania. The overcast conditions were challenging and I persisted with a 1/15 shutter speed until I found this moment. Hours of persistence paid off when these two waves collided in a spectacular fashion. This is my favourite technical image captured to date.
