Janith Hetti-Archchige, Red Echoes, Port Fairy (SEASCAPE 2025)

For this image, I'm thinking of calling it 'Red Echoes, Port Fairy'. It was taken in Port Fairy, Victoria, under a really beautiful low winter sun. The main focus is definitely the iconic lighthouse. Funny story actually - I was just about to wrap up my shoot, and then a runner stopped nearby to snap a sunrise picture too. It wasn't until I started editing that I noticed something really cool. The lighthouse, with its red roof and door, actually mirrors the red t-shirt the runner was wearing. It's like this perfect visual harmony just happened by chance. This unexpected color echo really lifts the whole image, turning it into what I think is a pretty balanced and captivating coastal scene, all bathed in that lovely warm winter morning light.
