Peter Harlow, Ghosts in the lake - Megalodon (AERIAL 2025)

The Ghosts in the Lake project is a series of images that depict dry lakes imprinted with obscure patterns following the receding waters. These marks create surreal shapes that can be linked to the myths of spirits and ghosts that dwell near bodies of water. The series is inspired by water spirits and supernatural beings, found in the folklore of many cultures, including, among others, African, Celtic, North American, Greek, Australian and Chinese. The series is represented here by ‘Megalodon’ which resembles an ancient shark-like creature, often mythologised by sea-faring cultures.
