Joanne Costanzo, Flow (AERIAL 2026)
An aerial photograph taken over Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre in South Australia. Being the largest salt pan in Australia, the lake is usually dry but very occasionally it will fill with floodwaters from QLD and NSW. This image shows the tip of floodwater as it collectively flows from the Diamantina River and Cooper Creek into the lake’s main channel known as the Warburton Groove. Taken just after sunrise, this image captures the sunlight as it dances across the first flow of water entering the Warburton Groove on its way to Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre.
