Sally Kirsch, Daphne in Silverton (LANDSCAPE 2025)
After 40-50kph winds all day in Silverton (which made a great excuse to go to the Max Max Museum and visit the various galleries, and the cafe... twice...) the wind finally abated enough to head out at golden hour. I was shooting this old stone house and quite liking the clouds in the sky, when along walked this girl, dressed a little surprisingly...! She went by, stopped and commenced taking selfies just off to the left of shot and I thought "heck, she would look amazing in my frame!". So I called out to her to ask if she'd indulge me and in her delightful Nth American accent, she replied "Sure thing, I'd LOVE to!" Portraits are something I never do - landscapes are more my scene - but I love how this turned out, and Daphne did too, I sent her a copy of course.
