Michael Mclean, Crimson Hills (LANDSCAPE 2025)

This was taken at sunset in the Grampian mountains, vic. The red sunset light hit the red rock formations and created intense colour that make the landscape look otherworldly. I used a long focal length to focus on a vignette of the jaggered mountains that really interested me, as well as to bring the background hills into the image with greater scale. I love the colour and shape of the hills against the hairy texture of the foreground.
