Tim Doig, The Protector (SEASCAPE 2026)

This image was taken in St Kilda. I used long shutter speed to flatten the water which also allowed me to tighten up my aperture to capture light from the lighthouse as a star burst. The rocks used as the foreground element were a bit dark on my first shot so I used the torch on my phone to paint in some detail. I intended the rocks to not only be the foreground element but to also lead the viewers eyes through the frame.
