Joy Kachina, The Living Relic (LANDSCAPE 2026)

The Pencil Pine, a Gondwanan species found only in the Highlands of Tasmania, thrives near tarns, streams, and lakes, standing resilient against the challenges of fire. With the potential to live over 1,200 years, these remarkable trees embody the spirit of resilience, with a growth rate of only 12mm per year.
