Tim Burgess, The Dark Night (SEASCAPE 2023)
The darkest night in someone's life may be the brightest day in another's. You can choose to make good things out of every challenging circumstance. In contrast, you can also choose to see nothing in a creative opportunity. With the forecast for large swells and 300mm of rain - I was faced with the dilemma of hoping to capture some large waves in the face of severe weather, or waiting at home for a more clear day. Naturally I took the risk & when I arrived the sun was punching through the storm clouds, highlighting the spray from each wave. A surreal bat-signal like calling from nature, rewarding the risk for flying in such harsh conditions.
