Ngaire Hart, The Cabbage Patch (LANDSCAPE 2026)
Macquarie Island Cabbage ia a megaherb with large, hairy, rounded leaves and grows to 1 metre tall. It was eaten by sealers for vitamin C to prevent scurvy and a distinctive part of the island's unique herbaceous vegetation. It is owned by Australia and part of the sub-antartic island in the Southern Ocean, south of New Zealand, on the way to Antartica.
