Zoe Grace, Surrender (LANDSCAPE 2026)

Taken during a moment of personal heaviness, this image was captured in a setting that was undeniably beautiful, yet deeply isolating. Surrounded by still water and an expansive landscape, the sense of separation felt pronounced, consuming, and quietly overwhelming. Converting the photograph to black and white removes distraction, allowing the emotional weight of that isolation to come forward. In that moment, loneliness and sadness existed alongside the grounding presence of nature, inviting surrender rather than resistance. The image became less about the place itself and more about the quiet tension between isolation and acceptance. Where the absence of colour mirrors emotional simplicity, and stillness offered perspective.
