David Lee, Sailing in the afterlife (AERIAL 2024)

This is an Aerial shot of S.S City of Adelaide taken on the western coast of Magnetic Island, Queensland. It was taken in April of 2023 while I was touring the Island. I wanted to compose a shot that made it look like the ship had set sail into the sunset, without a horizon or reference to the sun. This gives the image a mystical feeling as to where it was going and how long for. I named this image 'Sailing in the afterlife' because it brings new life to ship that was once used for many purposes and is now seeking a new purpose in its afterlife.
