Huibo Hu, Rebirth (SEASCAPE 2023)

This panoramic photograph has taken in Sydney Harbour, which had just lifted the city lockdown in October 2021. One evening before a thunderstorm, the magnificent clouds were like the plot of Kunpeng spreading its wings in Chinese mythology and allusions. It also heralds the rebirthing of the city after the effects of the bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic. The catastrophe that nature brings to human beings is deafening. Perhaps only by walking through cities and deserts in silence can we transcend worldly desires and realize self-salvation.
