Nilmini De Silva, Parched Landscape (AERIAL 2025)

My aerial abstract imagery has been inspired by Australian Aboriginal artists who thrived on this continent for thousands of years. This image was taken in the Mallee Country of Victoria. Connection to country for our indigenous people meant an intimate knowledge of the landscape, helping to traverse the songlines that connected waterholes. This image reminds me of those ancient ancestors and the narratives told around campfires.
