Peter Barrien, Mt Cook over Matheson (LANDSCAPE 2026)

To set up in time to photograph Mt Cook over Lake Matheson at sunrise required a cold sprint around the lake. But I was rewarded by a beautiful burst of golden first light after the pink of the dawn had faded.
