Rockpools have become an iconic feature of the Australian coastline, especially in Sydney, which boasts an impressive number of these ocean retreats. Among them is Mahon Pool. On this particular day, the ocean churned like a giant washing machine, waves pounding the rocks. Yet within the pool's sturdy walls, swimmers enjoyed a calm, protected waters - an escape from the wild seaw beyond.
