After an early morning climb to Nonnberg Abbey, we stood quietly within its ancient walls, listening as the Benedictine nuns’ Gregorian chants echoed through the stillness. As we stepped back through the gates, history and cinema intertwined — this was the very place where the von Trapp children searched for Maria in The Sound of Music.
