Kevin Prince, FINAL LIGHT Mitre Peak Dusk Milford Sound New Zealand (SEASCAPE 2026)

Early summer sunset at low tide over Milford Sound New Zealand. The sun was setting as I dashed across the tidal flats at Milford Sound having driven in from Queenstown in the late afternoon- I was rushed as the light was falling and in my rush forgot to put on my sandfly repellent which meant I was devoured by sandflies during the photo shoot - and the sandflies were so thick I had to wave them away from the lens before taking each image - the resulting image FINAL LIGHT was worth the effort with amazing golden colours washing over Milford Sound and across the tidal mudflats before I finally retreated to the shoreline at 10pm after witnessing an incredible sundown.
