Tony Sernack, Dawn frost, Kamikochi (LANDSCAPE 2026)

Kamikōchi is a remote mountainous highland valley in the Hida Mountains range, in the western region of Nagano Prefecture, Japan. We stayed at a local Onsen and travelled up to the valley in the first bus of the day to find a glorious late autumn frost backlit by the sun just appearing over the mountain ridge. The walk up the valley had many beautiful views but this early morning image was a favourite.
