Ella Hearne, Creating Space (URBAN 2024)

Capturing the development occurring in Brisbane - a city now full of eye catching, modern, views. Walking along the river, usually looking out for birds, my attention was caught by this building. The shape creates the illusion, through reflections in the glass, of four separate buildings that overlap in space. With housing crises erupting in cities and towns across the world, this seemed symbolic of the ever increasing demand for space in cities, provoking the idea of an alternative reality where high rises can overlap in physical space, making room for many more people.
