Eva Cronin, Aurora at First Light (SEASCAPE 2026)
The Aurora Australis lights up the sky over Redgate Beach in the Margaret River Region of Western Australia during one of the strongest solar storms of Solar Cycle 25. Captured just as dawn began to break, the image reveals the aurora at a moment when its intensity was starting to peak. The Southern Cross is clearly visible on the left side of the frame, anchoring the celestial display against a scattering of stars over the calm and ethereal seascape below. The contrast between the solid, weathered coastline and the vibrant, luminous and shifting sky creates a powerful scene where earth, ocean, and space converge in a rare and unforgettable moment.
