Vicki-Louise White, Aqua Seas (SEASCAPE 2026)
Photographed at Smiths Beach, this image was the result of time and deliberate experimentation. I spent several hours watching the conditions shift, working through different focal lengths and camera settings while waiting for the light to align. As the sun lowered, it began to backlight the incoming aqua waves, illuminating their translucency and revealing the structure within each crest. The challenge was not predicting the light, but anticipating the precise moment when form, colour and movement came together. This image captures that brief alignment, a single wave defined by light, timing and patience.
