Torsten Lofhelm, An Ode To Higher Learning (URBAN 2026)

Helsinki Central Library Oodi (Ode in Swedish) is a three-story public library in Helsinki. The façade is made of spruce, which softens the building's architecture. The south-west corner is sharper than the rest, giving a nice shadow on the eastern side later in the day. The western side is curved, bending under the building where the Citizens' Balcony sits with great views over Helsinki. Well worth a visit when in Helsinki.
