Jess Charlesworth, Alpine Rays (LANDSCAPE 2026)

Whilst travelling down the West Coast of New Zealand, I’d experienced a typical week of stormy weather. That being said, one morning in Fox Glacier, it appeared as though there was a small chance of catching sunrise across Mount Cook and the surrounding ranges before the clouds returned. I stumbled out of bed at 5 am, feeling a little pessimistic about the endeavour, that was until I noticed the first gleam of crepuscular rays beaming behind the Southern Alps.
