John Toulantas, The Dome of Coolum (LANDSCAPE 2024)

This is Mount Coolum, an iconic volcanic dome located on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. With its distinctive conical shape, Mount Coolum holds significant cultural and geological importance. Indigenous people, particularly the Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) people, have a deep connection to the mountain, considering it a sacred site with cultural significance. This photo is taken from Boardwalk beach, looking inland with the crushing waves behind me.
