Jerusha McDowell, The Crossing (LANDSCAPE 2024)

Capturing a plateau crossing in bad weather this image is part of an ongoing documentary project which began simply, as a plan to ride horses and shoot remote and beautiful landscapes. It quickly became something much more. To me landscape photography isn't about taking the perfect shot, it's still about storytelling.
